What’s New! OLPH Halloween Party

Dear Parents,

We are more than halfway through October and with the changing of the seasons we once again are reminded of the gift of the beauty of nature provided by God. Take some time to enjoy the crisp weather and the vibrant colors of fall.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and School follows the policies of the Diocese of Trenton by requiring VIRTUS training for all of our staff and volunteers. We encourage all parents and anyone interested in volunteering to attend a session and become aware of the ways we are Protecting God’s Children. You can register online at www.virtus.org. You will also need to schedule an appointment for fingerprinting. Further information can be obtained from Mr. Rich Scanlon (Parish DFF) or Mrs. Theresa McCloskey (Parish Secretary).

Students from our 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade classes recently joined other children across our diocese as Bishop O’Connell celebrated the annual Mass for Catholic Education. Mr. Bisicchia and I accompanied the students, and they were wonderful representatives of OLPH.

The School Messenger system is used regularly for communication. Some families have reported that their messages are going to their junk mail files. Please check your email to be sure you receive these communications. This is also the system we will use in case of any weather-related closures this winter. You can also update your contact information in the system if necessary.

The annual OLPH Student Ambassador Halloween Party will be Saturday, October 26th in Nolan Hall from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Admission is $5 per child. This event is open to the public. All are welcome to attend!

Thank you for keeping our children in your prayers.

God Bless,

Mrs. Cynthia Smith
