Gina Chamberlain I am Gina Chamberlain and grew up in Pennsauken area where I attended St. Stephen’s School, Camden Catholic HS, and The College of New Jersey. After I married my husband, Barry, we moved to Maple Shade and became parishioners of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. I volunteered for the PREP program when my children were younger, served as a facilitator for past prayer groups, and served on a previous Parish Council. I have taught Kindergarten and mentally and physically challenged individuals. In 1998, I was called to OLPH and began as first-grade teacher. During my years at OLPH, my husband and I have raised three children and I am now a proud “Mom-Mom” of five. I believe that every person we meet is a gift from God. As disciples, we are called to seed and nourish others with the tools necessary to become unique, productive individuals who appreciate the differences in each person. I believe that Jesus is our role model. It is through His example we learn that dedication and commitment are qualities that enable us to meet the challenges of today. I believe that the Holy Spirit gives each of us gifts that empower us to become lifelong learners who plan for a future where we can achieve our full potential and make a positive impact on our society.

Laura Connelly My name is Laura Connelly. I have three wonderful children Laura, Theodora, and Caden. My husband Chris and I married in 2010. Family means everything to me! I am lucky enough to have my brother Markus living close by in Maple Shade too. Being able to attend daily mass and Sunday mass at OLPH is a blessing. As volunteer events arise I look forward to helping out. I am part of a Lay Carmelite Community in Cherry Hill, NJ. I absolutely love the Carmelite Saints, especially Saint Teresa of Jesus. I am always open to prayer requests. I really want everyone to be able to experience the graces and love Jesus has for us all. Besides studying the Bible and prayer, I enjoy ballet, the beach, and Mexican food. There is nothing like a good quesadilla or tortilla chips!

Wendy Marano Member of the parish since 1992. My faith background was Protestant, and I went through the RCIA process at Our Lady of Perpetual Health in 1999. I am married to my husband, Domenic, for almost 31 years. We have three children, Elizabeth 27, Dan 24, and Justine, 16. All three children attended OLPH School and my husband and I have been involved in many ministries over the years including the PreCana team, Lector/Eucharistic Minister (Dom), and Music Ministry (I serve as a cantor.) Being part of OLPH to me means being part of a loving, welcoming community where I can experience God’s love and deepen my faith. I look forward to serving on the Pastoral Council and helping OLPH change and grow as a vibrant parish community.

Kathy Himchak Hello I’m Kathy Himchak. I come from a long line of Shaders starting with my paternal grandparents. My brothers, and I went to OLPH and even some of our children went to OLPH and then settled in Maple Shade or, at least, continued with lifelong friendships they initially made here. I married Bill and together have had a very happy life in Maple Shade. As a retiree, I am busier than I could have imagined. I have had a few career paths (School Secretary and Real Estate appraisal) but the longest was in the Pharmaceutical industry for over 25 years. In that time, I planned, and implemented multiple events, and seminars. During my working career I received an Associate’s Degree in Business Management. Currently, I am a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. As a member of the Parish Council, I expect to draw from my past work experience to contribute to the work of the Pastoral Council. |
