Our Lady of Perpetual Help School educates the
whole child. We strive for academic excellence with our strong
curriculum, and emphasis on the development of student responsibility
and study skills. Our students have access to a variety of learning
tools, including the latest in technology, to help them learn
now, and to prepare them for the future. Our school's standardized
test scores, which exceed the 75th percentile, provide just one
measure of academic success. The achievements of our graduates
in high school and beyond further reflect the benefits of our
program.
We support our students as they grow to be
self-disciplined, responsible citizens with our Code of Christian
Behavior. This unique discipline code, used in grades K-8, outlines
behavior expectations and consequences, based on Jesus' gospel
message. This program helps students develop Christian character
and attitude in the spirit of love and hope that Jesus taught.
We encourage spiritual growth through religious
instruction, daily prayer, liturgical celebrations, and prayer
class. In May, 1999, the Diocese of Trenton awarded its first Best
Practice Award to Heart Haven, our unique, weekly
prayer class, recognizing it as an innovative program which "supports
and exemplifies the best of Catholic education". We take pride
in this award, and are equally proud of the program which allows
our students to learn the central importance of prayer in their
lives.
The measure of the
success of our educational mission is our graduates, young adults
ready and eager to meet the challenges of the future, and well
prepared to positively affect their world.
