Mrs. Darcel Smith
First Grade
Mrs. Darcel Smith started her teaching career at Our Lady of Perpetual
Help School in September 1990 as a Pre-School teacher. She developed
and coordinated the program. Mrs. Smith taught pre-school for 10
years. She taught kindergarten in the school year 2000-2001, first
grade from 2001-2003, and second grade 2003-2004. She has been
the first grade teacher again since 2004.
In addition to her teaching duties, Mrs. Smith has worked in the
Extended Day program, and is the assistant testing coordinator
and coordinator of the faculty Sunshine Reach Out.
She is a member of NCEA (National Catholic Educational Association),
and attends conferences and workshops for continuing education.
