Joyce McCarthy

Mrs. McCarthy graduated from Moorestown High School and continued her education at the Art Institute of Philadelphia where she earned a degree in graphic design, specializing in illustration.

She began her career at Plymoth Inc. where her responsibilities included layout design and illustrations to be used on folders, notebooks, and binders. The company’s two main clients were Disney and Peanuts.

She continued her career at Sexton Studios creating layout design and illustrations as a freelance artist. She continued her freelance work after having her two children.

She started teaching at OLPH in September 2000.

My goal is to discover and develop each student’s talent and enthusiasm for the arts, using hands-on activities and many different tools. I enjoy working with all of the students, realizing that their creativity and talents are endless.
